*Any student who is registered during this time, the institution will be billed an
institutional fee of $50 even if the students who signed up do not audition per
TCCBDA Bylaws.

not entered the week before Audition Recordings, your student will not be

Wind Symphony Auditions Deadline/Timeline
October 8 - 15- deadline for submitting Wind Symphony Entries. (Through TMEA
Entries Portal)
October 20-22, - deadline for submitting Wind Symphony audition recordings thru TMEA
website.
November 18 - approximate date audition results distributed to membership via email
January – Music Organizer will contact directors on student part assignments.
Additionally, Treasurer will send invoices for All State Student Participation Fees.
February (Wednesday of TMEA Week) - First rehearsal at TMEA Convention at host
hotel
February (Saturday of TMEA Week) - All-State Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble
performances Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center (in San Antonio)
* If a school is submitting audition materials for Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble,
the Wind Symphony fees may be sent with the Jazz Ensemble fee payment. Contact
the Treasurer.*
Jazz Ensemble Auditions Deadline/Timeline
October 27 – 29 Deadline Jazz Ensemble Auditions Entries (Through TMEA Entries
Portal)
November 3 deadline for submitting Jazz Ensemble audition materials (Through the
TMEA audition portal)
November 25 - approximate date audition results distributed to membership via email
December 31 - Deadline to register All State students for TMEA by mail using checks
(confirm by verifying date on TMEA website)
January – approximate date charts are sent via dropbox to participating schools
February (Wednesday of TMEA Week) – First Rehearsal for Jazz Ensemble
February (Saturday of TMEA Week)- All-State Jazz Ensemble performance (in San
Antonio)
Concerto Competition
November 3 - deadline for submitting Concerto Competition audition materials.(Forms

November (Late)/December- approximate date audition results distributed to
membership via email

February - Soloist performance with All-State Wind Symphony Band (in San Antonio)
Housing for Faculty
November 3 – Faculty Housing Request forms due to Vice President
Late November – Student housing forms distributed to Faculty for All State Student
Rooms via Vice President
December 31 – Credit Card on file due to Orchid Events to secure rooms.
January 15- last day for members to cancel room reservations through TCCBDA AND
last day for members to guarantee hotel room reservations (for faculty and students)
with personal/institutional credit card.
January 16 – Members contact host hotel (not TCCBDA or TMEA) to cancel a
guaranteed reservation. After this date, the hotel charges one night penalty for
cancellations/no-shows of guaranteed
